BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE

IMAGE COURTESY OF THE AMA NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE

Well, maybe not now (7am on Sunday) but it will be later on today. A very impressive arctic cold front will be sweeping into the area in the early afternoon dropping the temps like a rock. Today's high temp will be around 48-50 while plummeting to below freezing when the cold arctic air arrives behind the front later on this afternoon.

Some hints of some possible warm air advection setting up Monday may lead to a possibility of some winter precip in the form of light snow and freezing drizzle. As of right now, the cold air will be the big story, not the winter precip.

I will trade your cold for this horrible sandstorm we are having right now. We are currently under a high wind warning. I'll get the cold later though. The cold I hate. The cold where it's all nice and sunny and cold as hell...no snow.
