Today was a NW flow event and it was a relatively short chase.
I decided to go up to Dalhart, TX after noticing storms on radar in the area. I sat in Dalhart for a while and then I decided to go south toward a better looking storm near Hartley. I encountered 60-70 mph winds just south of Hartley along with some dime size hail. I followed the storm south to Channing and got a shot of the hail core to the south.
I then took 1061 out of Boys Ranch and ended up about 10 miles from Aamrillo. I sat and watched another storm forming to the northwest. It produced some nice lightning and a very spectacular sunset. I ended the chase at dark. Below are photos of the event:
